These latest weeks we've been rehearsing quite intensively, playing and arranging the songs for a "live situation". Since FuturePast" was very much recorded live, we've concentrated on finding some "interresting" twists concerning some of the arrangements. We've also tried to work out new endings to the songs. Playing live, it feels so much better if you have a powerful final of the tune, then to leave the audience looking like a questionmark. We've also spent some time trying to figure out, who will do what in the "vocal department". Then it's the ususal "sound issues" that needs to be taken care of. I mean that's both the greatest and most annoying thing, with this kind of music. If there's days you're NOT up for the challenge, the word "Blues trio" sounds very tempting" but then again, if you succeed with all the different details, the reward is so much bigger. In case you're wondering why we're rehearsing like this? We've got some gigs lined up allready and hopefully there'll be more to come. I'll get back to you in this subject later on.
If you think there's an awful lotta time until the 27-th of August, you can always have a sneak preview at our player here on MySpace and have a listen at the 4 min. and 30 sec. FuturePast - compilation. In case that doesn't ease your urge for HFMC and the FuturePast material, there's always the videos.
Well this blog should be about preorders, shouldn't it? Anyway it's very easy. If you're interrested in buying our debut CD, just go over to the "main page", find the link (the FuturePast album cover), push on it and you will be transferred directly to the Reingold Records shop. While you're there, just follow the directions and you'll have the CD by mail at the end of August. It's a peace of cake really. Those links to the Reingold Records shop, can be found on our official website as well and all our other related sites. Now it's just weeks left!
I promise I'll put up my next blog "Amoeba" sometime soon.
