Yesterday evening around eight o clock we did our set in front of a small crowd. We tried to make our rehearsal studio look like a stage as much as possible. We used stage lights, cozy candles and we lighted some "incenses", to get the right atosphere for both the audience and us. So what happened? Apart from the fact that we had a couple of beers with our guests, I actually think we managed to pull it off pretty good. I'd say nothing out of the ordinary happened. A wrong note from someone (including me) happened on occasion (strange, all of a sudden you do a goof in a part of the song you never missed a note in before) We also played the songs a little bit faster than we normally do but then again, that's normal when the adrenalin kicks in. Since this was the first time HFMC played live in front of an audience, I think this was the perfect way to lose our virginity.
The most positive thing with the gig last night, is that we're all feeling like teenagers today (not sure about the audience though?). It was truly an uplifting experience and we can't hardly wait until we hit the stage at Studion in Umeå tomorrow night, or Katalin in Uppsala on wednesday evening for that matter. If you feel you want to/have to expand your wardrobe before the winter, remember to bring some cash. We'll bring beautiful t-shirts and longsleeves of high quality together with records of course to the "merch stand". I promise to give you a good deal, if you decide to buy two items, record and t-shirt. I guess I can't say it enough times, tomorrow (October 23) HFMC at Studion/Folkets Hus in Umeå - BE THERE!!! On wednesday (October 27) we'll play at Katalin in Uppsala - DON'T MISS IT!!!
After the set we had a little chat with our guests, just to see how they experienced the whole thing. Their response told me that we have to play our music to more people. In case you don't know, I'm working on it. Enjoy the weekend, cheers!!!
