I had my doubts that this would happen. Playing in USA that is. The flight tickets (+ the compulsory overweight "after all we're a progressive rockband, not a blues trio") and the working visas costs a fortune, which makes a thing like this a true challenge, financially. Thanks to RoSfest we'll now be able to play our music in the United States of America for the first time. I don't have any proof whatsoever, but I think the gigs we did on "FuturePast" planted a seed that started to grow and now we can enjoy the fruits. I'm pretty sure those gigs made our way to the Rites of Spring festival in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, USA. I've never been there myself but I've heard only good stuff about the festival and the venue, "The Majestic Theater". The dates for RoSfest are: May the 4-th - May the 6-th and we're gonna play on the saturday the 5-th of May and I've already got a possible setlist in my head (GOD... I must be a weird chap!).
Seriously, getting this gig was the best thing that could happen for us. First of all we're now forced to have the album ready in time. Second, it tells me all the work I've put in HFMC has not been in vain and that I now can see a positive result of it. Alongside everything else, I'm trying to do some booking again. As the album will be released prior to the summer, it would be great if we could do some more festivals. If you have any names or adresses of promotors for festivals, or clubgigs for that matter? Don't hesitate. Write me a comment about it, or send me a message here on MySpace or facebook. The more gigs the better! Hope to see yá in the summer of 2012!
