Studio report nr:2 (an Austrian stairwell)

It's warm and humid outside, the computers in the studio are running hot, the amps are burning and we're sweating like pigs. In the middle of all this we managed to track a couple of more songs mostly smiling, even if we were running "a little bit on empty" by the end of the day. Today we got company in the studio since both Thomas and Kicki joined our session with their cameras (to make it even hotter in the studio). Nevertheless, so far we've actually recorded six songs including one of the epics and before we rounded things off today we nailed the intro and the first part of epic nr:2. The result of this is that we're going to carry on with this song (nr:7) first thing tomorrow.
It's strange, this time Ola and me has been unusually careful when it comes to the tempos during the preproduction, still we did slow down two of the songs today and I really think that the songs or parts of the songs benefitted from that. All in all I feel that the guys seems to be more committed to the recording this time and only good can come out of that. (I mean Linton Andsjö "as we call him during this session" even surprized us all with perfectly brewed coffe this morning). Today we installed the Hammond organ + Leslie cabinet for Kjellvete to play on. This means I'm gonna whip his back to make the Hammond and Leslie cry tomorrow!
