As we've now come to the final stages of sorting out, cleaning up our parents flat. I can state that it's been like living in hell (so much stuff, it never ends)...in hell with a lot of laughs that is. During this period we've found a lot of funny things that brings back memories, for instance this photo. I guess we must be 11 or 12, so this is the second band me and Patric Cohen formed since our first drummer Patrik Pettersson (and family) moved to another part of Sweden. In other words HPP3 was nomore. The reason I can see this is that we're more "dressed down" here, as our influences had changed a little from Slade and The Sweet to Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, The Faces, Mountain, Black Sabbath, Uriah Heep etc... This band was called Space and I played guitar and sang. Patric Cohen sang and played keyboards and guitar. Janne Olander played played bass and Jens Mattsson played drums. If you think of that Jannes bass was an acoustic guitar with 4 strings and Jens drums consisted of buckets and saucepan lids, you don't need to be Einstein to understand that we probably sounded like crap. Still, back then we had the time of our lives, writing songs and doing gigs in our living room in front of 30 friends that paid 1 krona to get in. The songs you listened to at the moment meant the world to you as they felt mysterious, powerful and grand to name a few things. Back then music was bigger than life!
