Everything can change

A year ago I got a gift, from who I'm not sure? I probably need to thank the endless nights of bad sleep, the rem sleep or just the turbulence that was at the moment. Anyway, as I stumbled through the house to grab my guitar to memorize the melody and the chords, I didn't realize the intro and the verse was in 4/4, the bridge in 3/4 and the chorus in 5/4 (just to even it out hehehe...). Let's not talk about the keychanges between the different sections, since they're far from normal too. However I started to think about this a lot later when I realized that the band is actually going to play this. At this point in time it was just a song I needed to write down to not forget it.

Pretty early on I had lots of ideas for this little baby, guitars, keyboards and of course vocals and now that I listen to a rough mix of it..WOW...it feels strange to say it but imho all of it works! And that's not all, when I received the solos from Anton and Kjell, it's like a new dimension of "crazyness" emerged on this 5 minute tune. If you think humour belongs in music, there's definitely a good chance that you're going to love this one.

I have to admit, this may be a very unprofessional way of writing but believe me, very entertaining. I have no idea how to categorize this little bugger, I guess it depends on the mood you're in. It can be pop? It can be yberprog? Honestly, I don't care. To me it's music and it makes me feel good and hopefully it'll make you feel good in maybe 6 months from now or when the upcoming HFMC album will be released. It's the first title I'm giving away, it's called "Everything can change" and I'd be very surprized if it didn't end up on the album. Next up a visit to Thomsson to record some more bass notes. Tomorrow morning, Petrus again to continue the search of the holy sound.
