The house is over 250 years old and it was perfect for the mission...recording a rockvideo that is. The place I'm talking about is a Herrgård (more or less a smaller version of a castle). I wanted to show the band in it's right element and yes I know, it might not be the most exciting thing to see a band do playback on a regular stage, so that's the reason I was rather picky when I chose the place for the recording. To make it work, I needed a room with charachter and I also had this idea of to have "old school" (or maybe I should say vintage) clocks in some of the scenes. Another thing I was eager to try out just to give you an impression of how time flies, was to lipsync at almost half the speed in the middle of Uppsala on a cold November evening...hmmm...not an easy task. Guess that's about as much as I'll give away for now on this video, which has been directed by Thomas Schon and Kicki Holmén.
The song is called "Can't stop the clock" and I think most of you can relate to what I'm singing about, as I believe I'm not the only one who feels like time is moving faster the older you get. In this particular case the lyrics is also like an odysee through my life playing music. Ho do you know you've picked the right song to make a video of? in fact you don't. As usual our new record is diverse in styles and I could easily have chosen another song for the video but "Can't stop the clock" has a little bit of everything as I see it and imho the chorus sticks like glue. From one thing to another, I accidentally stumbled on a "HFMC exhibition" (the photo) the other day - nice! Look out for the video guys, it'll be up soon!
